Course Outline
This course provides advanced knowledge and skills in PLC programming.
Pre-requisites
To be eligible to undertake the course you must currently hold a UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician OR a current ‘Unrestricted Electricians Licence’ or its equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory.
If students do not have an Unrestricted Electrical Licence but still wish to do this course, they will be issued a Statement of Attendance (after Meo Training analized the situation and considered that the student has sufficient prior knowledge to attend the course)).
Statement Of Attainment VS Statement Of Attendance
A statement of attainment is a formal qualification that is Nationally recognised and comes with the unit code. This indicates that you have attained the necessary competencies and completed the prerequisite units for a specific competency.
A statement of attendance states that you have attended the course and completed the training but does not give you the Nationally recognised unit code like UEENEEE101A it only describes the name of the unit without the code.
Some employers would accept a statement of attendance and others would require the statement of attainment.
For both situation, students are offered the same training and assessments but, because the pre-requisites rquired by ASQA are not met, students can not receive the course codes on the Certificate. This system of statement of attendance was specifically designed by RTOs for Employers who want to send their employees to do a specific training unit and do not want to pay for the prerequisite units as they deem it is not necessary. The RTO will only deliver training without prerequisite units if it is safe to do so.
