UEE31220 - Cert.III in Instrumentation and Control

Become a Dual trade technitian with a  Cert. III in Instrumentation and Control(Electrical/Instrumentation), which is a skill in high demand.  It awards  licensed electricians an  Electrical/Instrumentation dual trade. It provides students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in Instrumentation, PID Controlers, HMI's, Control Valves and PLC programming.

This qualification can be done 100% face to face or mixed delivery, as some of the practicals need to be done at our workshop. Blended delivery of the practical part (part online or at workplace) can also be discussed, if there are time/travel constraits that prevent you from  coming to our campus.

The duration of the course depends on previous qualifications. All students need to have an Australian Electrical License to enroll.  

Upskill from Electrical License:                                                                                                         

Upskilling from the Electrical License, students will need to complete a total of 20 units. This corresponds to 8 days of theory delivery (can be done 100% online) and 8 days of practical component (some of this practicals can be done online, contact us for more information).  

Upskill from Cert. IV in Electrical Instrumentation:                                                                   

Upskilling from a Cert. IV in Electrical instrumentation (UEE40420 or UEE40411), students will need to complete a total of 14 units. This corresponds to 4 days of theory delivery (can be done 100% online) and 4 days of practical component.  


UEE50220 - Diploma of Electrical and Instrumentation

Take your qualifications one step further with a Diploma of Electrical and Istrumentation. It provides students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in instrumentation, PID Controlers, HMI's, Control Valves, PLC programming, microcontrollers and specification writing.

This qualification can be done 100% online (when upskilling form Cert.III in instrumentation and Control - UEE31220/UEE31211) or mixed delivery. When doing the practical component online, you will receive a pack with everything you need to complete your practical assessments at home. 

The duration of the course depends on previous qualifications. All students need to have an Australian Electrical License to enroll.

Upskilling from a Cert. III in Electrical instrumentation (UEE31220 or UEE31211), students will need to complete a total of 7 units. This corresponds to 2 days of theory delivery and 2 days of practical component (can be done 100% online).  

Upskill from Cert. IV in Electrical Instrumentation

              +   Cert. III in Instrumentation and Control:                                                                     

Upskilling from a Cert. III in Electrical instrumentation (UEE31220 or UEE31211) + Cert. IV in Electrical instrumentation (UEE40420 or UEE40411), students will need to complete a total of 3 units. This corresponds to 1 day of practical component (can be done 100% online).
